At a glance
This expedition starts in colourful Swakopmund at the Atlantic Ocean. From there you’ll head to the almost inaccessible Damaraland region. This is a truly breath-taking part of Namibia with ancient craters, endless open plains and delicate patterns of colour. Then you’ll descent into the lower reaches of the Ugab river, before reaching the lichen-covered coastal plains of the Skeleton Coast. On your ride you may expect to spot numerous shipwrecks on the golden beaches of the Skeleton Coast, as well as desert-adapted wildlife in rugged Damaraland. Get ready for some fast-paced riding through unlimited landscapes in-between all the sightseeing.
More information
Eat, ride, sleep, repeat. That’s the rhythm of this epic expedition through the Skeleton Coast and Damaraland. You’ll camp wild for eight nights with all the essential camp life luxuries: ice in your sundowners, hot bucket showers, delicious food around companionable campfires and incredible Milky Way views. Living with your horse 24/7 in wild, remote areas is a life-changing sensation and is most likely why these Namibian expeditions have such a high return rate. Close bonds are built with your fellow travel companions and four-legged friends as you live this adventure together.
The first night of the trip you’ll stay in hotel in Swakopmund. The final night is spent in a luxury beach house. Your luggage is transported in vehicles each day.
