I’ve always dreamed of a riding holiday abroad. After all, with a horse you get to places you never reach otherwise. Determined to embark on this journey alone, I stumbled upon Outside the Corral. Instantly, it felt right. Their website exuded clarity and honesty, instilling a sense of trust within me. What truly resonated was that Laure-Anne, the founder, had personally experienced the destination. She had witnessed the people, interacted with the horses, and ensured impeccable organization and care for these majestic creatures. This attention to detail gave me a comforting sense of security. Before the trip, I reached out with a few questions, and the communication was fantastic. Laure-Anne shared a brief account of her own experience, fostering a sense of familiarity. It also reassured my loved ones back home. I also liked the idea that you can communicate in your own language in case something happens. There are far too many incredible moments to recount them all, but the entire experience was an enchanting tapestry. The horses were exceptionally well-cared-for, reflecting the passion and devotion of the knowledgeable duo who led our journey. And great travel companions, with whom I visited special places, saw beautiful views and had a lot of fun.

I absolutely loved my trip to Monte Velho! The setting is incredible and the accomodation is outstanding. The horses were amazing. Very well cared for and in great condition. The stables, arenas and land are all immaculately kept. Doing a mix of dressage lessons and trail rides was great. Having never ridden in a dressage saddle, or ridden a classically trained dressage horse before visiting Monte Velho, I was a little nervous about my first lesson. However there was no need to be, and I felt very comfortable. I learnt a lot from my lessons, with tips that I was able to bring back home to improve my riding on my own horse. All of the horses are so well trained, and it really makes you ask for things correctly to get the right response! The trail rides were such fun, and the grounds are just incredible. The staff were fabulous. All so friendly and attentive. The food was great too. I would highly recommend booking through Outside the Corral. Laure-Anne is so attentive and easy to deal with. The booking process was so easy, and I felt at ease that everything was well handled. Laure-Anne was always very quick to respond to any queries and questions. Thank you Laure-Anne for organizing such a perfect trip. It definitely won’t be my last booking through Outside the Corral!

Very nice experience! Laure-Anne makes all the time for you, discusses your wishes and then gives options that suit you. As a result, the trip suits the person booking it. But also afterwards, Laure-Anne is easy to reach for questions and thinks along with you. For example, my flight got changed and she immediately thought about how to solve the transfer. Also the personal aspect, with a message before your trip, but also checking in afterwards to see how your trip went. Makes it a nice and personal travel agency. And because she only offers riding holidays and visits them herself, she knows what she is selling. Laure-Anne, thanks again for the service and the fantastic trip I made thanks to you.
