Very nice organisation! Laure-Anne thinks along with you very well and really takes the time to do so (which location will suit you best). The welfare of the horses is clearly her top priority, which immediately gives you a feeling of trust. I had a wonderful time in Portugal and can definitely recommend Outside the Coral!

My friend and I went to Monte Velho, Portugal, through Outside the Corral. From the very first email, Laure-Anne was enthusiastic, which was a great sign for us. She patiently answered all our questions, and the fact that she had visited herself made us feel reassured. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking the first time, but Laure-Anne made everything very personal: regular emails with updates, a clear final email with the detailed program, and even a personal card in the mail! At that point, we knew we were in good hands.

On-site, everything was perfectly organized. Monte Velho is a stunning place to completely immerse yourself in your “horse bubble.” It was amazing: beautiful rooms with even more beautiful views, delicious meals three times a day, and after an intense day of riding, relaxing in the jacuzzi while overlooking the fields with the mares. The horses were incredible: well-mannered, responsive, gentle, and well cared for. During the lessons, they never put a foot wrong, even when we were trying things we had never done before; they did exactly what was asked, with or without help from the instructors. And the instructors themselves were fantastic: enthusiastic, which sometimes took a little getting used to, as their English occasionally had a Portuguese twist, haha. All in all, we had an amazing holiday and would go back in a heartbeat, maybe even as soon as next year!

My riding holiday, Castles of Gredos, in Spain was an unforgettable experience. Beautiful surroundings and well-trained and cared-for horses. Everything was organised to perfection, both leading up to and during the trip. Laure-Anne was always ready to help with all my questions. For booking a riding holiday, you are in the best hands with OTC. I will definitely book with her again.

I had an absolutely fantastic holiday that exceeded all my expectations! Everything was meticulously organized, the horses were exceptionally well cared for, and Emilio and Mamén are truly delightful people. Despite the challenging days, it was the perfect introduction to riding holidays. The stunning landscapes, delicious food, and charming rustic hotels all contributed to a flawless experience. Spending seven hours a day on the back of a wonderfully trained horse instills so much confidence that you can fully enjoy and relax without worries. The seamless organization, from Laure-Anne’s planning to Emilio and Mamén’s execution, allowed for a carefree experience without having to overthink anything before or during the vacation. I couldn’t have chosen a better “first” experience, and this sentiment was shared by riders who have been re-booking this trip for years. My inaugural experience with Outside the Corral was truly wonderful, and it certainly won’t be my last. Highly recommended for those who can handle long days in the saddle — DON’T HESITATE!
