I absolutely loved my trip to Monte Velho! The setting is incredible and the accomodation is outstanding. The horses were amazing. Very well cared for and in great condition. The stables, arenas and land are all immaculately kept. Doing a mix of dressage lessons and trail rides was great. Having never ridden in a dressage saddle, or ridden a classically trained dressage horse before visiting Monte Velho, I was a little nervous about my first lesson. However there was no need to be, and I felt very comfortable. I learnt a lot from my lessons, with tips that I was able to bring back home to improve my riding on my own horse. All of the horses are so well trained, and it really makes you ask for things correctly to get the right response! The trail rides were such fun, and the grounds are just incredible. The staff were fabulous. All so friendly and attentive. The food was great too. I would highly recommend booking through Outside the Corral. Laure-Anne is so attentive and easy to deal with. The booking process was so easy, and I felt at ease that everything was well handled. Laure-Anne was always very quick to respond to any queries and questions. Thank you Laure-Anne for organizing such a perfect trip. It definitely won’t be my last booking through Outside the Corral!

I have just returned from a really wonderful riding holiday, a horseback safari – organised by Outside the Corral with Zambian Horseback Safaris – in Zambia. I cannot recommend too highly this company. The horses were fabulous: fast and fit but well schooled and a delight to handle. Never crazy or alarming. Laure Anne has an acute eye for the details that make a holiday truly enjoyable and pays attention to them all, and to her guests. So everyone is happy. Really a joyous and life affirming adventure and I am already dreaming of the next ride that I can book with Outside the Corral.

I travelled to Ireland as a non-rider and fully enjoyed the trip! The preparation went very smoothly, everything was prepared down to the last detail. Laure-Anne’s enthusiasm made me very excited for departure. I am still reminiscing on the beautiful room, the friendly service, the delicious food and the tranquillity of nature during my walks.

Booked a riding holiday to Slovenia with Outside the Corral, couldn’t be happier! Booking was a breeze, everything was very clearly explained in the detailed program. Communication was timely, fast and thoughtful. The program even had some nice extras, like a checklist to make sure you don’t forget anything before leaving.
