Each evening, return to the warmth of beautifully prepared camps, where cozy bell tents await and traditional Argentine meals are cooked over open fires. Days are filled with adventure, while nights offer comfort and connection under vast, starlit skies.

Your journey begins with a relaxing first night in a welcoming local hotel in San Martín de los Andes, offering a gentle introduction before heading deep into the wilderness. Once on the trail, you’ll stay in three beautifully set, remote campsites, each featuring spacious, fully equipped bell tents. These glamping-style accommodations provide real beds, quality bedding, and inviting communal dining spaces where guests gather to share stories over delicious meals.
While the camps embrace a rustic charm, they are thoughtfully designed for comfort, with shared hot showers and well-maintained bathroom facilities. Even in the heart of nature, you’ll find a level of ease that makes the experience both authentic and enjoyable.
Dining is a true highlight of the journey. Each day, savor traditional Argentine cuisine prepared over open fires: think flavorful asado (BBQ), freshly baked bread, and locally sourced ingredients that reflect the rich culinary heritage of the region.
The riding is slow-paced, but technically demanding. Each day brings new challenges: from navigating narrow mountain trails and crossing rivers, to ascending rocky ridgelines with stunning views of the Andes.
There are around 40 riding horses, predominantly Criollo and Mestizo breeds, renowned for their endurance, sure-footedness and calm temperament, perfectly adapted to Patagonia’s rugged terrain. A knowledgeable lead guide, accompanied by a local baqueano, ensures not only your safety but also an authentic experience throughout the Río Quillén Valley. Daily riding typically ranges from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the terrain and weather conditions. Day 5 is designed for rest and rejuvenation at lakeside Lumillas Beach with optional fishing and swimming.
